The Seattle Times wrote up a quick article on Lily Tomlin’s visit to the brand spanking new A.L. Humphrey house on 1st & Cedar. Lily was in town as a keynote speaker for Plymouth Housing Group’s charity event last Friday.
Cluff, 70 and homeless until two years ago, learned just days before that he had been chosen to represent Plymouth Housing Group (PHG) and its mission to get homeless people off the street and into low-income housing.
Tomlin was the keynote speaker at Friday’s fundraiser for the nonprofit, established 30 years ago by members of the Plymouth Congregational Church. It now serves 1,000 formerly homeless people in 12 apartment buildings all over the city.
