Belltown ArtWalk and Recharge the Battery – December 8th

On December 8th from 6 – 9 pm, meet-up at Belltown Community Center (Bell Street and 5th Avenue) for light appetizers at the start of the Belltown ArtWalk (pick up map) and review the latest on Recharge the Battery.

BELLTOWN ARTWALK:  Every second Friday of the month, the Belltown Art Walk showcases the workspaces and new creations of local artists. Pick up a map at the Belltown Community Center then follow it as you wish. There is always live music, a raffle, and a chance to interact with the artists.

RECHARGE THE BATTERY:  Recharge the Battery is a community driven initiative working to promote conservation efforts surrounding the Battery Street Tunnel.  Through various public engagement programs and community outreach efforts we are working to elevate public dialogue about the past, present, and future opportunities and for all to consider reimagining this under-appreciated infrastructural icon.  Recharge the Battery: is working to demonstrate persuasive public support to explore alternative possibilities for the Battery Street Tunnel. We are currently requesting that officials consider alternative decommissioning strategies that will allow for removal of the Alaskan Way Viaduct and the opening of the deep bore tunnel could proceed without delay, essentially pushing the pause button on the Battery Street Tunnel.
