SEATTLE, Wash., September 30, 2014 – Seattle’s premier epicurean hotspot, Bell + Whete European kitchen and lounge, is proud to announce the arrival of their new fall dinner menu. Featured on the fall menu are modern interpretations of classic old world dishes of the Normans, who were of the first in Europe to conquer and gather ingredients and flavors from across the English Channel to the Mediterranean and interchange them.
“Fall in Seattle is my favorite time of the year.” Said Marcus Charles, Proprietor. “The change in weather is a fantastic time to expand our heartymenu. A lot of people ask us what is the deal with the Normans, and didn’t they eat any salad or vegetables? I’m sure they ate some, and we should all eat more salads and vegetables as well. Unfortunately for me, eating meat, cheese and bread is just too tempting.”
For vegetarian guests, Bell + Whete will be offering grilled artichokes and mushrooms with their signature bannock (house flatbread) and farmers cheese. Also, while on the subject of mushrooms, Bell + Whete will also be serving a savory wild mushroom risotto with mascarpone and sherry.
Bell + Whete will also feature a pappardelle pasta with heirloom tomatoes and basil with the option to add any of the mouthwatering house-made sausages.
Of course, Bell + Whete hasn’t forgotten about their carnivorous guests for the fall dinner menu. Dive into autumn with a tender roasted lamb shoulder complimented with balsamic glazed cipollini, grilled zucchini and minted chevre. Or, try the delightfully robust seafood stew featuring clams, shrimp, salmon, fennel and fingerling potatoes.
Additionally, braised short ribs with smoked Yukon mashed potatoes are a perfect companion for the sweater weather. And, it goes even better with a glass of pinot noir.
Following November’s Dine Around Seattle event, keep an eye out for our winter dinner menu as well as a daily, three course tasting menu.
